My cancer was also found in my brain a year and a half ago. They removed the tumor and I had a gamma knife procedure. Have been on immunotherapy since then. Have had ups and downs but they keep fixing whatever breaks. So staying positive and following instructions.

I have, for one lesion I was given the option of steriotactic radiosurgery (targeted radiation) or surgery, but surgery was not recommended as I didn't really have any major symptoms and it would delay starting immunotherapy needed for the rest of the tumors. The 2nd lesion was very small and farther in so radiation was really the only option. I guess I actually had a third option of only doing immunotherapy but it has trouble getting through the brain barrier, so I opted for radiation. So far it's worked.

Upon finding Metastatic Malignant Melonoma in my liver my oncologist ordered a brain scan. Two tumors showed up.
He sent me to a Radiation Oncologist Radiation Oncology Dr.
He performed a Gamma Knife treatment last March and distroyed the tumors.
I will go for a brain scan in June to determine just how good it went. I feel it went well because I have no symptoms.
For my liver, I'm being treated with "check point inhibitors". Opdivo and Yervoy.
I've had three infusions and will take my fouth this coming Thursday.
