I just had both -pet scan and brain MRI after two and 1/2 years of treatment . Not sure why you can't get the same .I have only had two brain scans but 6 body scans .Perhaps that is the routine.

For me it's my insurnance won't pay for more mri's. Medicare will only pay every 6 months for MRI's
