I have 4th stage metastatic melanoma. I have been in immunotherapy since April 24th, 2024. Prior to that, I was in hospice. Today, one year later, I’m very much alive thanks to the immunotherapy treatment.
The initial three treatments were with a combination of Opdivo and Yervoy, each three weeks apart. It ended in June followed by a two year program of Opdivo by itself. It’s ongoing and will end during June 2026. Each session are four weeks apart. My recent pet scan (April 1st,2025) showed my two tumors were reduced to scar tissue and the lymph nodes clear. Additionally, no new metastases were found.
I asked my oncologist about new treatments. She said , as of now, immunotherapy is the best one for superficial spreading melanoma…..least for me given the results thus far. However, she’s always reading about what’s new, in trials etc.

All the best to everyone. I’m rooting for you.
